FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the difference between taking the exam with me and or going through the Department of Public Safety?
The exam is the same.  You are tested on the same skills that you would be if you went to DPS.  The big difference is the ease of scheduling an exam.  With myself, you can simply schedule an exam on a date and time that work for you.  When you show up, there are no lines, and you get your test at your scheduled time.

How do I know you actually are a drivers license examiner for the state of Oklahoma?
That is a great, and fair question.  Please review the list of certified designated examiners on the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety's website by clicking here.  You'll find my name listed alongside badge #4108.  I can also show you my state issued examiner ID when you arrive for the driver's exam.

Where are the driving exams given?
I have one driver's exam route that is located in Glenpool, OK.  The Department of Public Safety set this route as an approved route and monitor it as needed.

Where do I go for my driving exam?
We will meet at the McDonald's located on 141st Street  and Highway 75 in Glenpool.  There is a parking lot on the north side where you can park your vehicle.  We will usually meet inside so we can sit down and fill out paperwork.  This is also where parents, siblings, friends, etc. can wait while the exam is taking place.

How long does the driving exam take?
Start to finish, it's about 30 minutes.  The actual driving exam itself is typically 20 minutes.  The other 10  minutes is to complete paperwork.

Can parents ride along during the driving exam?
No.  Only the individual taking the driving exam and myself are allowed in the vehicle for the exam.  Parents, friends and other family members can grab a bite to eat in McDonald's while they eagerly await our return.

Do you supply a car for the driving exam?
No.  You must arrive in a vehicle that is qualified to use for the exam.  That means all blinkers, headlights, brake lights, and backup lights must be in working order.  The vehicle must also have a current license tag registration, and be actively covered by automobile insurance.

Do you offer a driver's education course as well?
No.  My sole focus is on driver's license exams at this time.

What I do not have my completion certificate from driver's ed?
If you are under 16.5 you will have to get another one.  If you did a parent taught course, the company you went through should be able to email you another one.  If you went through a public school, you can ask them for another certificate.  Commercial schools will also be able to print you another one.

What if I have a question that has not been answered?
Please contact me through email on the contact tab and leave your question and a number that you can be reached.  I will respond ASAP.
